Batman 1969 is a fan film that is not merely an homage to the 1966 Batman series. The fan film, designed as the “Fifth Season Premiere,” is also a crossover with the crime drama The FBI. Other comic characters will appear as well. It also has many influences from other shows from the era, as well as the comics.
Essentially, Batman 1969 is story that traces Bruce Wayne’s life from a tragic afternoon in April to 1968 to further tragedy in the fall of that year, his personal struggles, and then his fight against a mob boss, the Scarecrow, and the Mole Hill Mob. Unlike the 1966 Batman series itself, however, Batman 1969 is a production done in a serious manner, though not without humour.
